About Me

My name is Shannon Outlaw and I teach all of the 3rd Grade English Language Arts at MES. I've taught for 12 years, and 3rd grade is my favorite grade to teach by far.

As for my background, I graduated from Coker College with a BA in Elementary Education. I achieved National Board Certification in Literacy-English Language Arts. I also have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading.

My husband and I have two children, Meri Kay (9) and Zachary (11). Our first "child" is a yellow labrador named Abby whom we got 13 years ago as a wedding gift. We are active members at McBee Presbyterian Church.

I cannot imagine working in any other profession, or at any other school. McBee Elementary and teaching are where my heart is.
